Nokia comments on class action
Nokia Corp., Espoo, Finland, issued a comment on a class action complaint that was filed against the company on Feb. 5, 2010 at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The filing alleges securities fraud in connection with statements made by Nokia between Jan. 24, 2008 and Sept. 5, 2008, regarding the production and sales of certain mobile devices.
”Nokia has reviewed the allegations contained in the complaint and believes that they are without merit,” the company stated in a press release, adding it ”intends to defend itself against the complaint vigorously.”
