Pixable adds photo mosaics from social media sites like Facebook

Pixable, a New York City-based photo startup aimed at simplifying printing, has added photo mosaic printing to it’s offerings. Pixable users can now select pictures from a variety of online services, including Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket and Picasa, to create photo mosaics in seconds. The finished mosaics can be printed via Pixable in 14-by-11-inch and 17-by-11-inch sizes, which are prices at $7.99 and $9.99, respectively. The poster is printed on acid free card stock and laminated with a UV coating. The finished mosaic can be downloaded from Pixable free.

Pixable launched last fall as a service to create and to print photo books from Facebook photos. Among the company’s advisors and investors is James Joaquin, founder of Ofoto, and current chairman of PixelPipe.

Looks like a service built around the idea that Copyright infringement is just A-OK! Photographers beware.
