Mobile face recognition

Face.com's tools are now available on Facebook.

With a goal of “making face recognition approachable and available to all,” face.com of Tel-Aviv, Israel is offering APIs for its platform to developers.

“Whether you’re looking to build a cool photo tagging application, create personalized e-cards or campaigns, or any other sci-fi idea that comes to mind,” the company says, “we’re here to serve.”

Face.com says it has scanned billions of photos and tagged over 50 million people using its Photo Tagger and Photo Finder apps.
