The National Park Foundation and Olympus Imaging America, Center Valley, Pa., have launched the 2010 Share the Experience photo contest. The annual contest is the largest national park and public land photo contest for amateur photographers, and runs through December 31. The grand prize winner’s photo will be featured on an America the Beautiful Federal Recreation Lands Pass, and all winners will receive prizes from Olympus.
“Our annual photo contest is a great reason to get outside and help capture the incredible spaces and places preserved in our national parks,” says Neil Mulholland, president and CEO of the National Park Foundation.
Share the Experience is the official photo contest of America’s national parks and federal recreation lands. Sponsored by Olympus and the National Park Foundation in partnership with the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Forest Service, the contest showcases the more than 500 million acres of Federal Lands and draws entries from all across the United States.
Amateur photographers can participate in the contest by uploading their photos from their computers through Facebook, Flickr, Shutterfly or directly at www.sharetheexperience.org.
