New from Minox is a 12-ounce, inconspicuous pocket binocular for all-day field trips or travel. The MINOX BD 7×28 IF ultra-compact binocular offers individual eyepiece adjustment, open-bridge design and high-contrast, pin-sharp definition right to the edges, thanks to fully coated lenses, the company says.
A special feature is the easy-to-use focus adjustment. There are no readjustments to be made once you have used the individual focusing of the the two eyepieces so they are set to your eyes.
Rubber armoring on the body provides an extremely good grip and makes it rugged enough for rough conditions and waterproof to 16 feet. It functions efficiently in a temperature range from 14 to 122 degrees F. It retails for US$349.
