A Photo Editor: TwitPic to sell user images for profit

A Photo Editor reports on a story in TechCrunch EU about TwitPic, a photo sharing app for Twitter that many people use to share breaking news images from their phone, which claims changes to TwitPic’s Terms of Service will allow the company to profit from users’ images.   The change coincides with TwitPic’s announcement that they’ve partnered with news agency WENN to sell the images people post. According to thenextweb.com, “The new licensing deal ensures that users retain the copyright but by uploading photos service, the company is able to exploit the photos for commercial gain.”
