onOne offers Perfect suite of photo software

onOne Software is combining several new imaging tools with some old favorites for “Perfect Photo Suite 6.”

Combine multiple exposures with Perfect Effects.

First up in the $300 collection is Perfect Portrait, which the company says was “built from scratch to address the needs of portrait photographers who need to make their clients look their best.” The tool’s algorithm automatically locates a face (or multiple faces for a group shot) and automatically applies blemish removal and skin smoothing. Perfect Portrait also identifies facial features such as eyes, teeth and lips and provides tools to enhance those features.

Perfect Effects 3 is the replacement for PhotoTools, and was rebuilt from the ground up, onOne says, to provide live previews of effects on images before they are applied, as well as more control over effects and how they blend with underlying effects.

Perfect Layers 2 includes a touch up brush for removing minor blemishes on portraits, dust spots from the camera sensor, or “just about anything else like unwanted power lines in a landscape shot.”

Perfect Mask 5 updates the Mask Pro tool for background replacement, and adds automatic background removal.

The suite, due in late October 2011, also includes Perfect Resize, FocalPoint and PhotoFrame. All of the products function as standalone applications as well as plug-ins for Lightroom, Aperture, or Photoshop.
