Exhibitors from last week’s PMA@CES exhibition at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nev., reported the event was a great buying show among independent retailers, chain stores and buying groups. “This is the best PMA show in five years,” declared Steve Giordano, Jr., of Lucidiom Inc., Vienna, Va., adding international traffic from traditional channels was strong. Lucidiom was featuring its Photo Finale Version 8, which includes features such as a streamlined checkout process, creative project saving, expansion of payment and discounting options, order workflow upgrades, SEO enhancements, a faster upload tool, additional consumer communication tools and integration with the Photo Finale Enterprise merchandising and content management system. With the Photo Finale Enterprise integration, retailers are now able to easily customize and manage their own consumer-facing merchandising pages. The photo product shopping experience can be tailored to the market and to sales and marketing initiatives.
Another exhibitor reporting strong sales was AAA Imaging, which was showcasing its canvas-wrap solutions. “PMA@CES has been a great show; much better than anticipated,” says Lou Burgess, president, AAA Imaging. “The people here were true buyers and customers. We saw old friends from the last 30 years and its been a great show.”
Ron Kubara of Noritsu also a strong buying show: “We had one customer who came here to buy; if we weren’t here, he would have went to our competitor. From that perspective, it was a great show. It did what it was supposed to do. Historically, this has always been a great show for Noritsu to demo new products and showcase current products. It has exceeded in that, too.”
