Snapfish co-founder advising Bangalore photo site

Bala Parthasarathy, co-founder of Snapfish, has joined the board of Canvera, a Bangalore, Karnataka, India, online photography site. Canvera is an online photography company providing hosted e-commerce solutions to photographers allowing them to market themselves better and monetize their work through printed products, online solutions and stock photography.

Parthasarathy founded Snapfish in 1999 and was with the company through its acquisition by District Photo and an eventual sale to HP Co., the company said.  He was also general manager and managing director of Snapfish International. Parthasarathy is presently partner at AngelPrime, a startup incubator based in Bangalore.

Other Canvera board members included industry consultant Peter Knaack, who was Shutterfly Inc.‘s vice president, operations, from 200-2005.
