Kodak reorganizing management, may cut jobs

The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports Eastman Kodak Co. is moving some top bosses and reorganizing its operations as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring.

The moves also seem to indicate the company is planning a number of job cuts among middle and upper managers.

“This new business model ensures that I have the cleanest possible connection to our senior leadership,” CEO Antonio M. Perez said in a memo that went out to employees Monday. “It is also the first of several steps to flatten our organizational structure to better position the company to operate with a leaner cost structure as we approach emergence” from bankruptcy.
