Olympus makes Stylus even tougher

 

How tough can a waterproof compact camera get? Olympus says its latest, the Stylus Tough TG-2, can submerge down to 50 feet.

The $380 camera has a 12-megapixel sensor, 4x zoom, 3-inch OLED display, GPS, and 1080 HD video capture. Two more tough models, the TG-830 and TG-630, go down to 30 or 13 feet.
Also announced: the Stylus SH-50 iHS features 5-axis image stabilization. The 16-megapixel camera has a 24x zoom, 3-inch touchscreen, and captures 1080i60 video.
Finally, a pair of compacts feature 24x zooms. The SZ-16 is 16MP CMOS model with 1080p video for $230; the SZ-15 has a 16MP CCD and 720p video, for $200.
