The new Digital Conference program at the PMA Australia Conference features “The Business of Social Media”, Thursday, May 24th, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at 2:30 p.m. The featured speaker is Paul Atkins, Atkins Technicolour, who will describe how to create and capitalize on a successful social media marketing campaign.

In 1993, fresh out of a Bachelor of Business, Atkins began working for his family’s company AtkinsTechnicolour, taking a 60 year business into it’s third generation of family involvement.

Atkins was quick to pick up digital technology, and with leadership from Kodak brought Adelaide into the new age. Atkins is State Rep for PMA in South Australia, President at Association of Professional Colour Imagers (APCI) and state council member for South Australia at Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). Lectures on Marketing, Colour Management, Adobe Lightroom.

Pixar’s A.J. Reibli to kick off PMA Conference in Australia

The new Digital Conference program at the PMA Australia Conference features the Digital Storytelling General Session at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 24, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with A.J Riebli, Pixar Animation Studios Filmmaker.

Sponsored by IDEA and The Digital Show, Reibli kicks off the PMA Conference with his insight into the Imaging and Film industry. He is one of the main filmmakers behind Pixar’s upcoming feature film “Brave,” which will launch globally the month after The Digital Show and conference.

He began his career at Pixar Animation Studios in March 1997. He started as production office coordinator for “Toy Story 2″ and went on to manage various departments for a number of Pixar’s Academy Award-winning feature films. Riebli also lent his voice talent to two of Pixar’s feature films. For “The Incredibles,” he voiced one of Edna Mode’s security guards, and in “Cars” he voiced the part of Lightning McQueen’s Biggest Fan RV.
