Can You Track The FedEx Truck?

Can You Track The FedEx Truck

When it comes to fulfilling customer needs, FedEx can’t be beaten. This is true even on Christmas Eve when the company’s average daily volume of 16 million shipments makes it second only to Black Friday in terms of deliveries. Imagine what would happen if one (or more) packages were “lost.”

FedEx’s tracking abilities are so good, in fact, that one website has taken to tracking FedEx trucks as they cross the U.S.

Currently, the tracker is set up for delivery Wednesday morning through Friday. You can follow each truck’s progress on a map or use an RSS feed to be alerted when any arrive at your house!

What About FedEx Tracking For International Shipments?

Early this month, FedEx announced that it would discontinue the free tracking of international shipments for non-FedEx account holders. Before they stopped operating on December 31, 2014, they offered shipment status updates through their website until January 31, 2015.

Here are some tips to help you find out about your package’s delivery status if you’re not a FedEx account holder.

  1. When you’re making an international shipment, under Alternative Tracking Methods on the FedEx website, choose View Express/Mail Billing Information. Enter your package’s AWB (Air Waybill), or 7-digit Invoice Number which begins with “8” and click on SUBMIT. You’ll be asked to choose a delivery date and enter your billing information. You can track your package up until the cut-off time of the last delivery before January 31, 2015, which is 3:00 pm EST.
  2. According to FedEx “If you entered a valid 7-digit Billing Code in the air waybill when shipping your international ExpressSAS (15kg) shipment, we will continue to provide the selected services as long as your 7-digit Billing Code remains active and current.”
  3. Log into FedEx International Account Center (formerly called Global eShip) and click on View Invoice. Enter your Shipment’s AWB (Air Waybill), or 8-digit Invoice Number which begins with “6” and click on SUBMIT. You’ll be able to see the tracking history of your package, choose delivery options, print mailing materials until January 31, 2015.
  4. Use online shipment status updates available in the FedEx website only if you’re a registered user. Don’t forget that these services are limited only to FedEx account holders. After January 31, 2015, you’ll be redirected to another site.
  5. You can visit your local FedEx office and request for updates on the status of the shipment after that date; but expect delays when it comes to Heavy packages (15kg).
  6. For alternative options when it comes to tracking international shipments, there are third-party package tracking services like Parcel Monkey or 11th Hour Racing . You can also search on Google using the package’s AWB (Air Waybill), 7-digit Invoice Number, 8-digit Invoice Number, or Tracking Code/Number .
  7. If you’re sending your shipment with “FREE Super Saver Shipping”, remember that the shipping company is not responsible for delivery.
  8. For U.S. shipments, you can track your order using the USPS website.

Track  FedEx Package Without Tracking Number

FedEx is one of the largest courier delivery services around the world with over 500,000 employees and operating in more than 220 countries.

Every day FedEx handles 15 million shipments , including their Express service such as next day, 2nd day and 3rd day deliveries. But what happens when you ship a package using their express service but do not know the tracking number? How do you check the status of your shipment without knowing what the reference number is?

This article describes how to track a package sent by FedEx using just the address label.

The process is simple and can be completed in minutes . Just follow these steps:

Step 1 – Visit fedex.com or use their mobile app

Step 2 – Enter sender information

FedEx will ask you to fill in the following information before proceeding:

– Name of Sender (This is the person who shipped the package)

– Phone number of Sender (This is not needed but it would be useful if there are any questions on your shipment.)

– Email address (Optional) – The Sender’s email address will not be used in the tracking process but it is required to proceed. If you choose not to fill this in, FedEx will send a reference number to your phone when the package status changes.

Step 3 – Click on “Track”

When you click on Track , FedEx will ask for your reference number. If you have any reference number, it will be listed below the reference field. If not, click on “No tracking number yet”.

Step 4 – Enter your reference

To track a package without a tracking number, just enter the address label of the shipment in the reference field and click continue .

– To get this information, visit your FedEx shipment tracker and click on View Label .

– On the next page, you should see a barcode image. This is your address label. Just type this in the reference field and continue the process as usual .

Step 5 – Track your package

If everything was successful, you should now be able to track your shipment without knowing FedEx’s reference number.

That is all there is to it! If you have any questions, leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
